Did you know you can integrate your RailMeets schedule with your phone, computer or cloud calendar? When you change your signups you will receive a signup notification email. Contained in that email is a file named Roster.ics, it’s basically a meeting notice. Click on that to open it. Your calendar app will ask you to confirm, when you do it will be added to your calendar
The invite is a standard format .ics file that can be handled by all modern email clients, be it Microsoft Outlook, Mac Mail, Yahoo Mail or Google Mail. Learn more at our help center.

More schedules
This week we added the Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club Offshore fleet schedule to the RailMeets database. You can now add CCYC Wednesday night and weekend series races to your schedule. Go to My Boats, select Events then Add Events From List. Searching on CCYC will bring up all the events. These guys race a lot so to narrow it down even more search on CCYC Wed to bring up just the Wednesday night stuff or CCYC Weekend to see the weekend stuff.
CCYC is a RailMeets Partner and you can also access CCYC.RailMeets.com from the corinthian.org Offshore fleet page. For 2019 you can pay your Offshore Fleet dues on RailMeets, from your Dashboard scroll down and click on MyDues and select Purchase. We will let then know you are all paid up.
Keep those schedules coming…
Today we posted the Chicago J109 fleet schedule. Here is how to add preset events to your schedule. From My Dashboard click on your boat name, then click on Back To Events, then click on Add Events From List. On the right side you will see a search box, put something in there to narrow the choices, Chicago, CASRA, T10, J109, NOOD etc…
Next click on the events that you want to add to your schedule, don’t forget to set the default times at the top. Top tip – add the events in groups like all the Wednesday night stuff then the weekend stuff. If needed you can also change the times later. Then scroll down and click on Transfer Selected Events. That’s it you are done the selected events have been added to your boats schedule.
Adding to the list of events
This week despite the cold of perhaps because of it we added more events to the set of preset events contained within RailMeets. Waukegan Yacht Club’s entire season schedule is in there and we also added the Chicago Tartan 10 fleet events including the social events, Playpen Party anyone…
Would you like your races / events listed? Send us a note with the details to info@RailMeets.com we can usually have them up and your members can add them to their boats schedule within 24 hrs.
And now the end is near…
Sad reality is the season is winding down in the northern hemisphere (stop gloating you California and Caribbean users). That doesn’t mean RailMeets can’t be useful. For my boat I just put in a bunch of events for putting the boat away and a Crew BBQ. Here is how you do that. From your dashboard find the boat that you want to set up an event for and click on Events for that boat. Next click on Add Event. From there just fill out the form.
Top Tip – Visibility to All makes it public event, great for fleet parties and club work parties. Clicking on Crew will make it visible only to your crew. Top Tip #2 – Use Meeting on Dock for when you want the crew to show up at your house, Leaving Dock time for when you are lighting the BBQ grill and Race Time for when dinner is served. Or Meet on dock for when you want the work party to arrive Leaving Dock for when you leave the harbor after taking the mast down and Race time for when you get to the boat yard and then go for chili at Lindy’s
